Los Mesteños Career Academy

LMCA

LMCA was created by the Rural South Texas Economic Development Corporation in 2008. It developed out of a need for vocational, technical and medical training in rural South Texas. We create community and regional partnerships to provide career training opportunities that otherwise would not be available, partially due to diminished educational funding.

Money raised through grants and donations are used to hire instructors and provide for other training costs.

No money is used for 'bricks and mortar', as the concept is to use existing community resources to the fullest extent possible.

The goal of LMCA is to provide vocational, technical and medical skills training to citizens of rural South Texas.

Partnerships are the key to our success. We depend upon the participation of financial contributors, community organizations, government agencies, training institutions, counties, cities, school districts and churches to help us move forward with our initiatives.
